Awards are easy to print on a box. The real test is how owners feel about a grill after a full season of cooking.

A Monument Eminence 605 gas grill and the rotisserie kit that comes with it

The Monument Eminence 605 earned CNET’s Best Grill Overall title for 2025. We read the spec sheet and a large share of its 458 buyer reviews.

The question was whether the award stands up once the grill is sitting in a real backyard.

    Burners and Heat Output

The Eminence 605 is Monument’s flagship model. It has 6 main burners, with a rear infrared burner and a sear burner on the side.

Together they add up to 89,000 BTU. The grill reaches 800°F after about 10 minutes of preheating.

    Cooking Space and Construction

The cooking surface totals 860 square inches, made up of 640 primary and 220 secondary. Capacity is 35 burgers in one go.

Stainless SUS304 grates measure 7mm. The grill runs on either propane or natural gas.

The box also contains a few extras:

    • A rotisserie kit
    • Two meat probes
    • A fully enclosed stainless steel cabinet

    Smart Features Worth Knowing

This series uses Monument’s third-generation LED touch display. Bluetooth app connectivity lets you monitor temperature remotely.

The knobs glow in different colors depending on burner temperature. It is a minor detail that proves handy when you grill at night.

Reviewers consistently single out the side sear burner and the rear infrared burner. They say these seal in flavor more effectively than the front-to-back layout most competitors use.

    What Owners Report

That 4.86 average over 458 reviews is impressive for so many ratings. Buyers keep praising the fast, even heating and the solid feel of the build.

They also say the sear burner does what the brand promises.

Assembly draws the most frequent complaint. The instructions were hard to follow, according to one reviewer with an engineering background, who put the whole build at about 3 hours.

Other Monument reviews point the same way. The grill performs well, but you should set aside real time to put it together.

Against Monument’s Own Denali and Weber

Within Monument’s lineup, the Eminence 605 costs more than the Denali 605Pro, at $1,349 versus $899. The extra cash buys dual-fuel capability, the added sear burner and a grate that is slightly larger, at 7mm.

Anyone who finds $1,349 too steep can look at the Denali 605Pro, which delivers most of the same smart tech for less money.

Weber also makes comparable dual-fuel flagships. The Eminence 605 undercuts them on price while matching or beating their warranty length.

    Our Verdict

This is the grill for buyers who want maximum cooking area and the fullest burner lineup Monument sells, along with dual-fuel flexibility. Owner reports line up with the CNET award.

Set aside a few hours for assembly. Also inspect the shipping crate for damage before signing for delivery.
