The ESKUTE NOVA X is a compact electric dirt bike built around a 4000W peak motor, hydraulic disc brakes, and full suspension. The brand lists a top speed of up to 46 mph, in a frame suggested for riders between 3’9″ and 5’9″ tall.
I have not ridden one. This page is a research-based read of ESKUTE’s published specifications and policies, plus independent coverage of a close rival, so every figure below is the brand’s claim rather than a lab result.
The short version: the published numbers put a large motor and high claimed torque into a small frame, and the fine print deserves a careful read before you order.
Specs at a Glance
| Brakes | Dual 203mm hydraulic discs |
| Motor | 4000W peak, 230 N·m of torque |
| Weight and load | 121 lbs bike, 280 lbs maximum load |
| Top speed | 35 to 46 mph, as claimed by ESKUTE |
| Wheels | 14-inch front, 12-inch rear, 3.0 inches wide |
| Battery | 48V 23Ah, removable (about 1,104 Wh) |
| Water resistance | IPX4, which means splash-resistant |
| Claimed range | Up to 60 miles |
| Charging | 6.5 to 8.5 hours on the 54.6V 3A charger |
| Suggested rider height | Roughly 3’9″ up to 5’9″ |
| Lighting and modes | Headlight, taillight, turn signals, horn, three riding modes |
Treat the table as a starting point, because ESKUTE’s own materials do not fully agree with each other. They show two different fork travel figures, describe the motor as mid-drive in one place and as a hub design in another, and quote slightly different battery and range numbers.
The motor type is worth a moment, because the difference is placement. A mid-drive unit is fixed to the frame and pulls the chain, which concentrates its weight low and in the middle of the bike. A hub unit is built into the rear wheel.
Before you order, email ESKUTE support, ask which figure is current, and keep the reply in writing.
Power, Battery and Range
On paper, torque is where the NOVA X stands out. ESKUTE claims it reaches 10 mph from a standstill in 0.9 seconds. A launch like that is a reason for a first-time rider to begin in the lowest of the three riding modes.

A peak rating is a short-lived maximum, so it says little about steady output. The battery is simpler to judge: multiply 48 volts by 23 amp-hours and you get roughly 1,104 watt-hours of stored energy.
ESKUTE claims up to 60 miles per charge. Range claims like this are normally made for easy riding, and fast riding uses a battery up sooner, so expect less than the headline number when you push the bike.
For long days, the pack is removable. ESKUTE also sells a matching spare battery and lists a bundle that includes a second one.

Size, Fit and Rider Age
This is a small bike. It rolls on a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel, and ESKUTE suggests a rider height somewhere between 3’9″ and 5’9″.

Riders above that height or beyond the load limit should look at ESKUTE’s NOVA Beast, NOVA RR or RTX, which roll on larger wheels.
Age matters even more than height. ESKUTE is clear that this is an off-road machine and that it is not legal on public streets, despite the turn signals and horn. Its site asks buyers to confirm they are 14 or older.
The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that children under 16 should not drive ATVs. For a bike with a claimed 46 mph top speed, parents shopping for a teen can reasonably treat 16 as the floor, plus a DOT-approved helmet, boots and gloves, and rides that an adult oversees on legal off-road land.
What Stands Out, What to Check
A few things the brand documents clearly:
- A removable battery you can charge off the bike.
- Hydraulic brakes with large 203mm rotors front and rear.
- Full suspension and three riding modes.
- Lights, turn signals and a horn, though these do not make it road-legal.
- Replacement parts, including wheels, forks and shock absorbers, sold on ESKUTE’s own site.
And a few things to confirm before you buy:
- Which fork travel and motor description are correct, since ESKUTE’s sources differ.
- The speed cap of each riding mode, which the brand does not publish.
- Water exposure. IPX4 covers splashes and light rain, not a pressure washer.
- Modifications. The warranty excludes unapproved accessories, so ask first.
The bike ships mostly assembled, with tools and a video guide. ESKUTE tells buyers to confirm that the brakes and wheels are installed correctly before riding, and checking the cables, wiring and bolts at the same time is a sensible habit for any bike that arrives partly built.
How It Compares to the Yozma IN 10
The closest rival on paper is the Yozma IN 10. The frames are similar, both weigh 121 lbs, and one YouTube video linked from ESKUTE’s product page jokes that the NOVA X is a Yozma clone.
| Spec | Yozma IN 10 | ESKUTE NOVA X |
|---|---|---|
| Motor | 2.6 kW mid-drive | 4000W peak |
| Torque | 146 N·m | 230 N·m |
| Battery | 48V 23.4Ah | 48V 23Ah |
| Claimed range | 53 miles | Up to 60 miles |
| Brakes | 190mm hydraulic | Dual 203mm hydraulic |
| Max load | 265 lbs | 280 lbs |
| Water rating | IPX6 | IPX4 |
| Riding modes | 3, capped at 18, 24 and 40 mph | 3, speeds not published |
On the published numbers, the NOVA X leads on motor output, torque and rotor size. The Yozma answers with a better water rating, a faster charger, and clearly published speed caps for each mode.
An independent reviewer who tested the IN 10 saw it level off around 35 mph with a 200-lb rider, and got about 35 miles of trail riding against a 53-mile claim. The same reviewer praised its brakes and its smooth power delivery.
The two bikes carry nearly the same battery capacity, which is a reason to read ESKUTE’s own 60-mile figure as a best case as well.
Warranty and Where to Buy
ESKUTE’s own site describes a one-year warranty. It covers manufacturing defects and applies to the first owner only. The battery is repaired or replaced during that year, then earns a prorated credit toward a new one.
Exclusions include crash damage, stunts, racing, storing the bike badly, unusual exposure to liquid, the wrong charger and unapproved accessories. Shipping damage must be reported within seven days, with photos or video.
Returns are murkier. ESKUTE’s return page and its warranty page give different windows and different restocking rules, so ask support which one applies to your order. The brand also says batteries cannot be sent back.
ESKUTE lists four official websites and says it has no authorized retailers. It also says it does not provide warranty support for products bought on third-party platforms. If you buy through a marketplace, confirm coverage with support in writing before you order.
Shipping matters too. Delivery covers the lower 48 states only, and P.O. boxes, APO addresses, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico are all excluded. The warranty does not apply to a bike bought or used outside the US either.
NOVA X FAQ
Can I ride the NOVA X on public roads?
No. The brand classes it as an off-road bike, so look for private land or a legal riding area, and read your local rules first.
What age is it meant for?
ESKUTE wants buyers to confirm they are 14 or older. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that kids under 16 should not drive ATVs, so treating 16 as the minimum age is a cautious rule for a bike this fast.
How long is a full charge?
Allow roughly 6.5 to 8.5 hours using the 54.6V 3A charger that comes with it. Stick with that unit or an ESKUTE replacement, because the warranty excludes damage from the wrong one.
Is it waterproof?
No. IPX4 means it resists splashes. A gentle rinse is fine, but keep water away from the battery connector and skip the pressure washer.
Is assembly required?
Partly. The bike ships mostly built, in a box about 49.6 by 12.6 by 30.7 inches that weighs 134 lbs, and tools plus a video guide are included.
The Verdict
The NOVA X packs strong specs into a compact frame, with 203mm hydraulic discs and full suspension on the list. Its weak points are on the information side: spec sheets that disagree, no published speed per mode, and return rules that depend on where you read them.
Taller riders, anyone who needs something road-legal, and buyers who want a published speed limit for every mode should look at other options. ESKUTE’s larger NOVA models and pedal-assist e-bikes cover some of those needs.
It suits a shorter adult or a responsible older teen who rides on legal off-road land with proper gear. If that is you, the ESKUTE NOVA X on Amazon link opens Amazon, where you can check the current price and options.
