ChoiceQuill publishes buying guides and product comparisons for shoppers in the United States. This policy explains the rules our writers and editors follow, so you can judge our recommendations for yourself.
Editorial Independence
Our recommendations are not for sale. Brands and retailers cannot pay for a place in a list, a higher ranking or a favorable write-up. We may earn a commission when you buy through our links, and that commission never decides which products we recommend or the order we put them in.
How We Choose Products
We start with the products shoppers search for most in each category and compare their published specifications, features and owner ratings. Each buying guide lists its products in the order set for that guide. Category pages list products by the score shown on each card, highest first. That score is our editors’ score when they set one, else the score from a current star rating, else the AI assessment. Products with the same score keep their order in the category list, and products without a score follow all scored ones in that same order. Visitors can also sort a category page by newest or by name.
AI-Assisted Drafting With Human Review
We use AI tools to help gather product information and prepare first drafts. New guides are saved as drafts so an editor can check them before they go live. The editor checks that product details match what the manufacturer publishes, that the wording is fair, and that nothing suggests hands-on use we have not done. AI-assisted text is never presented as the personal experience of one of our writers.
Corrections
We want every guide to be accurate. If you spot a mistake, such as a wrong specification, an outdated feature or a broken link, tell us through our Contact page. We check every report, fix confirmed errors as soon as we can and update the guide. When a correction changes a recommendation, we say so on the page.
