A dim headlight beam is a good reason to shop for an LED upgrade. Among the bulbs OXILAM sells, the Q36 Series H7 is the one the brand currently features most prominently on its site.
The price is $46.99, down from $59.99. Buyers rate it 4.8 out of 5 stars over 142 reviews, and 91% of those reviews give five stars.
We read the spec sheet and the star-rating breakdown. The goal was to decide whether it deserves that top spot in the catalog.
Specs at a Glance
On the OXILAM spec sheet, one set of Q36 H7 bulbs delivers 40,000 lumens, or 80W overall. The chips are 7035 LEDs, and the output is a 6500K cool white.
Cooling comes from a compact turbo fan that spins at 12,000 RPM. It is paired with a housing made of aerospace-grade aluminum.
The housing carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. OXILAM also claims a lifespan of 60,000-plus hours.
Installation is billed as a plug-and-play swap that takes 3 minutes. The plug is non-polarity, and built-in CANbus should keep a dashboard error from appearing on compatible vehicles.
As with most bulbs in this category, the size is 1:1 with halogen. That means it is built to fit the stock H7 socket with no adapter and no housing modification.

What Buyers Report
Having 142 reviews behind a 4.8-star average gives a solid sample for this price bracket. The spread leans heavily positive, with 91% at five stars and 8% at four stars.
Only 2% combined sit at two stars or below.
There is one caveat to know before you buy. ExhaustNotes ran an independent long-term test on an earlier OXILAM H4 bulb, which belongs to a different series and not the Q36 line.
That unit performed well for months. At around 3,000 miles it failed because of a broken solder connection.
This is not a Q36-specific complaint. Still, it shows that an early failure can hit LED bulbs of any brand.
A 2-year warranty on this bulb covers precisely that risk. Hold on to your order confirmation.
Where It Sits in the Range
In OXILAM’s own lineup, the Q36 H7 sits between two other series. One is the fanless Q6, with lower lumens and no moving parts, and the other is the higher-output M5S.
It is the newest of the three, and OXILAM currently promotes it harder than the others.
Nilight is the closest competitor in this price range. Its pitch is nearly the same, with CANbus readiness, plug-and-play installation and cooling built from aluminum and copper.
The real gap lies in how forcefully each brand pushes its lumen numbers.

Our Verdict
Is the factory H7 halogen bulb in your car yellow and dim compared with newer cars on the road? If so, the Q36 is a sensible, well-reviewed upgrade for under $50.
Independent testers have found similar CANbus and 1:1 sizing claims to be accurate on OXILAM’s other bulbs. The number of reviews also supports the star rating.
