A makeup spot only works when everything has a place and the light is good. That is the idea behind the Hasuit 48.8 inch vanity desk, which has a lighted mirror and a power outlet built in.
It is the brand’s current best seller. The price is $239.97, down from a listed $479.97.
On the brand’s own site, it carries 63 reviews with an 83 percent five-star rate. We studied the spec sheet and the breakdown of reviews to judge whether the best-seller title is deserved.
Size and Materials
Its footprint is 48.8 inches across and 15.75 inches deep, and it stands 55.1 inches tall.
It is built from MDF board, a type of engineered wood, and finished with a scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. You can choose white or black.
Room for Everything
Storage is the real draw. A glass tabletop sits on top, and below it you get six hooks, an enclosed side cabinet, four adjustable shelves and six drawers that glide on three-section metal slides.
Most vanities at this price skimp on compartments, so this layout stands out.
Mirror, Lighting and Charging
The HD mirror has 10 built-in LED bulbs and three lighting modes:
- Warm yellow
- Natural light
- Cool white
Brightness is adjustable in each mode.
Features like these usually belong to vanities costing $400 or more, yet this one is priced under $250.
The unit also includes a pair of AC power outlets and a pair of USB ports. Hair tools and phones can plug in at the desk itself, so nobody has to run an extension cord across the room.
What Buyers Report
The page lists 63 published reviews. Of those, 52 give five stars and 11 give four.
Nothing lower than four stars is shown, so the top rating sits at 83 percent.
Reviewers say the desk is sturdy once assembled. They also say the lighting works as advertised, and they repeatedly rate it as good value next to vanities of a similar size.
The Assembly Reality
Assembly is the main friction point. Several buyers say putting it together took close to five hours.
The many parts and drawers are the cause, even with illustrated instructions to follow.
Budget a full afternoon, not a lunch break. Consider a second person to lift the mirror panel into place.
Versus Hasuit’s Smaller Vanity and Big Retailers
Hasuit also sells a smaller 43.3 inch vanity at the same $239.97. Compared with it, this desk is about five inches wider and adds an enclosed side cabinet.
If your room has space for it, this is the smarter buy of the pair.
Bigger furniture retailers offer a comparable feature set: a lighted mirror, built-in charging and six-plus drawers. Here it comes at a noticeably lower price, and it carries a stated warranty of 2 years and a return window of 30 days.
Our Verdict
If you want a vanity that works as a lighted makeup station, rather than only a mirror sitting on a desk, this is the best choice in Hasuit’s current lineup.
Settle on a color first, because white and black are the only choices. Then block out proper time for the build instead of rushing it on delivery night.
