Bladeless fans have plenty going for them. There are no dangerous spinning blades, they run quietly, they use energy efficiently and the airflow stays consistent.

The catch is that they behave like traditional fans in one respect: the air can only be aimed in a single direction. Moving air around a whole room usually means running more than one fan.

The Shark TurboBlade Fan is built to change that.

    Two Vents, Two Directions

A typical bladeless fan pushes air out through one large airfoil. The TurboBlade takes a different route with a pair of oscillating vents.

Each vent can be adjusted on its own. That lets a single fan send air into two separate areas of the room at the same time.

    Airflow You Can Aim

Each vent is over 15 inches wide, and both can push air up to 80 feet. That should make the fan effective at cooling a home on hotter days.

The vents can be angled horizontally, vertically or diagonally. This gives you control over exactly how the air leaves the fan.

Each vent also twists independently. One can face forward while the other faces backward, and either one can tilt upward or downward.

That freedom lets you experiment until you find the best way to circulate air in your space.

    Speeds and Modes

The fan has 10 speed settings. Turn it up to cool a room during the day, then lower it for quieter operation at night.

Four modes add even more control:

    • Sleep Mode: silences every chime, dims the built-in lights and picks the fan speed automatically, so nothing distracts you from sleep.
    • Breeze Mode: gently randomizes the airflow so it feels like natural wind outdoors.
    • AirBlanket Mode: delivers widespread horizontal coverage at one of the quieter settings. It is recommended as a stronger alternative to Sleep Mode.
    • BreezeBoost: delivers a sudden, powerful gust of air for a limited stretch of time.

    Height, Filter and Upkeep

The vents sit on a telescoping pole, so you can change the height by a few inches.

A filter screen collects dust from the air, which keeps cleaning easy. Replacement screens are available too, in case the original ever gets damaged.

    Power, Weight and Remote

At its highest setting, the fan draws up to 192 watts. That makes it a powerful machine.

It weighs just 15 pounds, so moving it from room to room is easy.

A remote is included as well. You can change the speed and pick modes without leaving the bed, the couch or wherever you are lounging.
