Eufy built its reputation on robot vacuums and vacuum mops. The brand also makes other gear, such as a speaker and a tracking card.
We have a soft spot for its low- and mid-priced models, which stand out for strong value. Now the company has turned its attention to your yard with the Eufy E15, a robot lawnmower that brings some interesting ideas to the category.
No wires, no GPS, just cameras
The biggest innovation is that the E15 skips boundary wires. Installing them takes a good deal of work and time.
Other wire-free designs lean on GPS or real-time kinematics (RTK). Eufy takes a different route with its vision-based full self-driving tech, known as V-FSD.

High-precision cameras power the V-FSD system. In essence, the mower makes decisions in real time based on what it sees.
With no perimeter wires, GPS signals or RTK stations involved, signal problems never come up. That lets the machine operate on its own.
Setting it up
Setup starts with choosing a spot for the mower’s garage. Fasten that garage to the ground using the screws in the box, and connect it to power so the robot can charge.
When charging finishes, join the mower to Wi-Fi and switch on the auto-mapping system. The robot then starts exploring the property.
A map builds up in the app as it goes. You can edit that map to set your boundaries and define individual zones.
This does take a bit of work from you. Still, tapping on a screen is definitely easier than laying boundary wire around the whole edge of your property.

How it cuts
The E15 uses the same vision system to detect and avoid obstacles, pets and wildlife included. Eufy claims it can manage this even in complex garden environments, while delivering neat, uniform parallel cutting.
A smart coverage detection system, which Eufy says ensures exhaustive coverage of the whole lawn, is part of the package. There is also a ride-on-edge function for trimming right along the edges of your property.
How well that edge trimming works will depend on your yard.
Each pass cuts an 8-inch wide patch. You can set the cutting height anywhere from one to three inches.

Limits and specs
Because the mower relies on vision, it does not operate in low light or rain. Whenever it detects either one, it automatically heads back to its charging garage.
The rest of the spec sheet looks like this:
- It climbs slopes of up to 18 degrees.
- It runs at a fairly quiet 56 decibels.
- It carries an IPX6 waterproof rating.
- GPS tracking lets you check where it is in real time.
- It can cover as much as 800 square meters.
Got a larger property? Eufy offers the E18. It brings the same features, but its maximum coverage area reaches up to 1200 square meters.
