Glare is the usual complaint about desk lamps. A lamp aimed straight at your work often leaves a harsh bright spot on the monitor or the page.
The Homelist LT1 takes another route. It shoots its light upward and lets the ceiling scatter it back down over your desk.
That can sound like a gimmick. Based on the buyer feedback we read, it mostly is not.
Size, Power and Light Output
Homelist built the LT1 as a small desk lamp that lights indirectly. These are the numbers that define it:
- Footprint: 80mm by 80mm at the base, 220mm tall
- Power: 72W
- Brightness: 6,500 lumens in standard mode
- Quieter option: 5,200 lumens in the noise-reduction mode, for less fan sound
- Color temperature: locked at 4,000K, which gives a natural white instead of a warm or cool tint

Why the CRI and UGR Numbers Matter
Two specs count most for eye comfort: a CRI above 98 and a UGR under 5.
CRI shows how accurately a light renders colors. Anything above 90 counts as excellent, so 98 is close to the best that LED lighting can do.
UGR measures glare. Anything under 5 is close to the glare-free limit for any light source.
Pricing
Homelist lists the LT1 at $169, reduced from a regular price of $199. That is far below most premium indirect-lighting fixtures.
What Buyers Report
Ten reviews give the LT1 a 4.4 out of 5 rating. Six reviewers gave five stars, three gave four stars and one gave two stars.
That is a small sample, so we treat the rating as a rough guide rather than solid statistics.
Buyers keep praising the same things: the brightness, the lower glare compared with an ordinary desk lamp, and the accurate colors for reading or drawing.
The complaints are consistent too. Some buyers noticed heat building up at full brightness.
Some also heard the built-in cooling fan in an otherwise quiet room. Homelist rates that fan at roughly 34dB at full power.
The fan is the price of getting 6,500 lumens from such a small body. Switching to the 5,200-lumen noise-reduction mode is the obvious way to get less fan sound.
Who the LT1 Suits
Homelist rates the LT1 for 300+ lux over an area of 150 to 200 square feet. That is plenty for a study desk or a home office.
Do not expect it to brighten an entire living room.
The clearest fit is anyone who works long hours at a screen. Detail work such as drawing or sewing is a good match too, and so is anyone who gets headaches under harsh direct light.
Skip it if you are after app control, daylight tracking on a schedule, or a design statement for the living room.
Warranty and Returns
Homelist backs this eye-protection lamp with a 3-year warranty. Its own store also offers a 60-day return window.
Both can be voided if you buy from an unauthorized reseller, so it pays to buy through Homelist itself.
Our Verdict
The LT1 keeps its main promise. You get a desk lamp that really is free of glare, color rendering that is excellent, and a price far under premium alternatives.
The fan noise and the heat at full brightness are real. They are not dealbreakers, but you should know about them before buying.
As a dedicated light for a home office desk, we see it as one of the more honest value propositions in this category.
