ESR sells plenty of cases for the iPhone 16 Pro, yet the Cyber Series with stand has drawn more reviews than nearly everything else ESR lists. It costs $26.99 and holds a 4.4 out of 5 average from more than 5,300 Amazon ratings.
Our research covered the spec sheet, buyer feedback and a pair of independent drop tests. The goal was to judge whether the praise is earned.
Three Layers and a Built-In Stand
The case has a 3-layer build. A hard outer shell of TPE and polycarbonate resists impacts and scratches, and a softer shock layer sits beneath it.
ESR rates the case for drops of up to 23 feet. The listing also describes 7x total protection across every side and corner.
A kickstand is built in, and ESR tested it for more than 3,000 uses. It adjusts across a viewing range of 0 to 85 degrees.
The stand also acts as a lens guard when you lay the phone face-down. That small detail matters once a camera lens has been scratched by a tabletop.
Magnetic Ring and Camera Control
The magnetic ring is rated for 1,500g of holding force, so wireless chargers and MagSafe wallets snap on firmly. There is none of the wobble that weaker aftermarket rings tend to have.
The Camera Control cutout works fully. Independent testing of ESR’s Camera Control cases confirmed that all four gestures register correctly through the case: a single tap, a double tap, a long press and a swipe.
There is one trade-off, according to that same testing. After months of use, the metal ring around the cutout may show noticeable scuffs.
The problem is purely cosmetic and does not affect how the case works. Still, you should know about it before buying.
What 5,307 Ratings Tell Us
A 4.4-star average across 5,307 ratings is impressive at that volume. This is not a new listing riding on a handful of reviews. Thousands of people have bought and rated the case over time.
One reviewer tested the case over several weeks and dropped the phone twice. The phone came away flawless both times, which matches the drop rating on paper.
The complaints across reviews of this case line are mostly cosmetic. One is the camera ring scuffing mentioned above. The other is a light buildup of dust around the kickstand hinge after months of daily use.
Eight Colors
Eight colors are available: Titanium, Black, Grey, Gold, Blue, Green, Orange and Pink. Many rugged cases at this price come in fewer shades, so the choice here is broader.
How It Stacks Up
Within ESR’s own range, the Cyber Series gives up some thinness in exchange for stronger protection and the built-in stand. ESR’s slimmer Zero Clear and Classic Hybrid lines have no built-in stand.
Next to pricier brands, you give up some long-term shape retention. In return, you pay roughly half the price of an OtterBox or an Apple case.
Our Verdict
For under $30, you get strong drop protection, a Camera Control cutout that works and a kickstand you will actually use. That makes it the most straightforward choice among ESR’s iPhone 16 Pro cases.
The camera ring will probably show light wear as time goes on. To get 24 months of coverage rather than 12, register the case for the extended warranty.
