A beard kit makes an easy gift, but only if the tools inside are worth using. The XIKEZAN 10-Piece Beard Grooming Kit is the first product you meet in the brand’s catalog.
On Amazon, it holds the #2 spot in the Men’s Shaving & Grooming Sets list. Before recommending it as a gift, we read independent blogger reviews written by people who spent weeks using it, not merely opening the box.

Everything Packed Into the Kit
- Beard wash
- Conditioner
- Beard oil in sweet orange and sandalwood
- Wooden comb
- Boar bristle brush
- Beard balm
- Grooming scissors
- Travel storage bag
- E-book guide
Whether the beard is long or short, thick or thin, coarse or tangled, the brand’s own listing says the kit is designed for it.
What Two Bloggers Reported
Independent bloggers, two of them, tried the kit and both noted real, tangible gains.
The first had chronic dry skin and beardruff to contend with. He called the hydration a genuine improvement, and the constant itch that used to make him want to shave it all off mostly went away.
The second noticed a clearly softer beard, to his own touch and to his wife’s. It also grew in straighter, and he got fewer ingrown hairs than in past years.
Both compared the kit with pricier options such as Scotch Porter and Jack Black. Both were surprised that the cheaper kit held its own on the basics.
The Weak Spots
The balm draws the most consistent complaints. Reviewers describe it as almost see-through with little or no hold, so it will not help much with styling or taming a longer beard.
The scissors got mixed reactions. One reviewer praised the weight and the mechanism, while another found that the blades tugged at hair while trimming, rather than cutting cleanly.
The comb works, but one reviewer rated it below a dedicated Cremo comb. It has neither slanted teeth nor rows in two sizes.
That is normal for a kit costing about $22. Treat the tools as a good place to begin, not a forever upgrade for someone who gets serious about maintaining a beard.
Against the Closest Rival
Next to its closest direct competitor, this kit offers more tools and a lower cost per item, so it is the more complete package.
The rival, however, scores better on measured product quality and offers more scent variety.
Our Verdict
As a first-time setup, whether bought for yourself or as a present for someone who owns none of these tools, it is tough to top on completeness and cost.
People who already have a comb, a brush and scissors they like could be better served by buying only the oil, or the 5-pack scent set, on its own.
