A product page can promise any wattage it likes. The ZOUPW 450W portable foldable panel has more to show than most, and it has the deepest track record in the brand’s whole catalog.

That record includes 114 reviews on ZOUPW’s own site and a full independent test from CleanTechnica. We went through both and ZOUPW’s spec sheet, hoping to learn if the panel truly delivers the output it is rated for.
Specs, Materials and Price
Here is what the spec sheet says about how the panel is made:
- Cells: N-Type 16 busbar monocrystalline, rated up to 25% conversion efficiency
- Frame: anodized aluminum, topped by an ETFE coating that resists UV and corrosion
- Hinges: reinforced polycarbonate
- Weather rating: IP68
- Max power voltage: 38V
- Connectors: a 4-in-1 system with MC4, XT60, Anderson and DC options
Fully open, the panel measures 121.85 by 34.57 inches. Its folded size is 30.43 by 34.57 inches.
The weight is 26.8 lbs. By CleanTechnica’s reckoning, that is about 20 to 30% lighter than rigid panels of a comparable power class.
ZOUPW lists the panel at $499.99 on its own site. CleanTechnica noted a promotional price of $459.99 when it ran its test, so check the current listing for a discount before you buy.
What CleanTechnica Measured
CleanTechnica tested the panel in southwestern New Mexico. On sunny days it consistently measured the full 450W rated output.
Readings climbed past 400W whenever solar irradiance topped 800 W/m².
The reviewer had owned earlier-generation portable panels for comparison. They said this one produced more power than similarly sized units, and that setting it up and putting it away were clearly simpler.
ZOUPW’s smaller 200W foldable panel did worse. In a separate test, OutdoorGearLab saw it deliver only 72% of its rating.
Larger panels in the lineup seem to live up to their spec sheets more reliably than the entry-level models.
Buyer Feedback and the Hinge Problem
On ZOUPW’s reviews page, 474 of the 501 ratings across the whole catalog are five stars. That works out to a 95% positive rate.
The 450W panel ranks among the single products with the most reviews on the site.
Shoppers keep praising the same three things: panels that beat their rated wattage, a quick folding setup and a sturdy build.
The main complaint we came across is not specific to this panel. It concerns the hinges of the fold-out kickstand across ZOUPW’s foldable range, which can break with repeated use.
ZOUPW’s support reportedly sends free replacement hinges when contacted. Even so, handle the stand gently and avoid overextending it on uneven ground.
Will It Work With Your Power Station?
ZOUPW bundles a 4-in-1 connector set that fits most stations from FlashFish, OUPES, UGREEN, BougeRV, Goal Zero, Pecron, Anker, Bluetti, Jackery and EcoFlow. You should not have to buy a separate adapter.
Before you order, look up the maximum solar input wattage your station accepts. The panel can produce the full 450W in good sun.
Charging speed still stops at whatever ceiling the station sets for its input.
Price and Warranty Next to Premium Brands
Jackery and EcoFlow also sell panels in the same 400W-plus range. According to CleanTechnica’s data, this one costs $100 to $200 less while matching its rated output in independent testing.
The tradeoff is the warranty. ZOUPW’s foldable line carries a standard warranty of 1 year, while some premium brands include multi-year coverage on flagship panels.
Is It the Right Panel for You?
This panel makes sense for shoppers who want 450W backed by an independent test showing it reaches its rating. It also suits anyone who would rather not pay premium-brand prices.
When it arrives, check that the kickstand hinges move smoothly. Hold on to the order confirmation too, in case a warranty claim is ever needed.
