DODOSKIN releases a themed Korean beauty mystery box every month, and it calls the series DODOBOX. The JULY edition is priced at $54.99, and DODOSKIN lists its combined product value as $120.89.

That implies a saving of 54%. Claims like this deserve a look at what the boxes really contain, so we dug into past editions and buyer feedback.
How the Mystery Format Works
The contents rotate every month. DODOSKIN does not publish the exact July lineup ahead of time, which is standard for a mystery box.
Past boxes give a realistic idea of what to expect. The March box held these products:
- 345 Relief Cream from Dr. Althea
- Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ from Beauty of Joseon
- Dive-In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Torriden
- Vinoberry Blended Cleansing Oil from by juccy
- Peptide 9 Volume Lif-Tox Eye Cream from MEDI-PEEL
- Propolis Lipcerin from CNP Laboratory
- Bio Solution sheet masks from SAEM
April’s box focused more on hair care. It paired the Anagen Scalp Tonic and Shampoo from HA’SOL with other skincare pieces.
It came to six full-size products at $49, with a listed value of $115.
Boxes like these pair well-known names such as Beauty of Joseon and Torriden with smaller brands that take effort to find one by one. None of it is filler samples.

Does the 54% Saving Hold Up?
Combined value claims on mystery boxes tend to run a little generous. They are usually calculated at full list price, not at the sale prices most shoppers pay.
Even so, past DODOBOX lineups have included plenty of recognizable, full-size items. A single Beauty of Joseon sunscreen often costs $15 to $19 on its own.
The box still lands well under the cost of buying the same brands one at a time at DODOSKIN’s own sale prices.
The box is a weaker fit for anyone who already owns most of the popular Korean skincare staples and wants to hand-pick a product. A mystery box cannot offer that, by its nature.
What Shoppers Report
DODOSKIN’s on-site reviews page lists close to 30,000 reviews across the store, with a 97% five-star rate. The reviews are not scrubbed clean.
We found real one-star complaints mixed in. Most were about shipping delays and slow customer service, not product quality.
The same pattern shows up on Trustpilot, where the store as a whole scores closer to 3 out of 5. Few complaints involve product quality.
Fulfillment problems are the more common thread, such as a parcel that never showed up or a refund that dragged on for weeks.
For a mystery box, that suggests the contents are likely to be full-size and authentic. The bigger risk is shipping, not what is inside.
Who Should Try It
Shoppers who like finding new Korean skincare brands, and who are fine with a surprise, get a fair shot at six-plus full-size products for under $55.
It is a poor fit when you want one particular item, since the contents are fixed and duplicates cannot be exchanged.
Ahead of checkout, look up DODOSKIN’s present shipping timeline and return window. Once packaging is opened, a mystery box generally cannot be returned the way a single unopened product can.
